local new station here tried those things in a few different vehicles, some they did help increase MPG, others they didnt change...  there conclusion was it did work but not for all.

The FTC has a good website, its worth a look if you're considering any of the aftermarket products that are supposed to improve fuel consumption or reduce engine wear. A search for 'fuel magnets' gets this as one of the first hits.

Yeah, NONE of these "gadgets" work in the real world.

Just a way to STEAL honest working peoples money.

If it worked, the Manufacturers would use them, race teams would use them, etc..

One thing I have found is that if race teams don't use a "performance" or "mileage" product, it won't work for me either...
