Post by: Sammy N Austin on September 12, 2006, 02:30:15 PM
Are the Detroit Tru-Trac limited slip differentials available for the Samurai?

The military H1 hummer uses/used this type of all gear limited slip (different name though) you could kinda maintain traction even with a wheel in the air by applying the brakes lightly.
Don't think I ever saw one for a Sammy. Wished they had one for a TrackVit though.

I just went to buy a Detroit Trutrac for a 1998 Tracker and the sales person from Eaton differentials told me they do not have differentials for Trackers....

Is there a chance he might be mistaken? What other LSD choice do I have (exept Calmini)?

Hawk Suzuki sells a limited slip for Trackers, they say on the web sight it is the factory component.

No idea about for Sammy's though.

I just called reider racing a few days ago.  According to their web site.  they have a limited slip for the samurai, 10 and 12 bolt track/kick.  When I called, I did not ask about the samurai, but they had the 10 and 12 bolt kick power brute LSD in stock.  $400 for the 12 and 350 for the 10 bolt.
