I run 33x12.5 in my SJ with 5.12 gears and a spool and the rear end has been rock solid.

The front end, now that needed the heavy duty axels after the locker was done with those little splines...  :D

When I considered a spool for my Zuk, I was advised that because I drive it on the street too, a spool would be a pain in the a$$, and I'd risk breaking something.  I agreed, so I'll pass the info on to you.  Spend the x-tra coin and get an auto locker.

the spool has been in for a while and the 1.6 is in i was wondering about the 5.12s, the spool is fine on the street its kinda fun in parking lots when your rear tires are skidin as you turn and everyone is wondering whats wrong with your car :)

I have a 95 Tracker that I drag race with the 5:13 and mini-spool with 15x8in drag wheels w/28x9.0x15 Hoosier slicks.  I broke the the left stock axle with 7inch street tires.  I went with the Calmini 4140 axles back in Feb. 06 -- so far no problem.
