Yesterday I got into my first wreck in the kick. About 50mph into the back of a ford taures smashed the hell out of it and the kick baerley flinched just tweeked the frame a bit. Blew out one of the head lights and 2 fog lights bent the hell out of the steering shaft and my body lift shifted up a bit (damn box tube). fixed the steering and some lights bumper is a little bent gess I will make or buy a new one.. Well i am happy as hell that it is still running and it took the shot like tank cant say the same for the other car. She said she always stops for the yellow lights (not when you under the damn thing)..  SUZUKI 1 ford 0

uh........ did you get cited for following too closely, or lack or assured stopping distance?
Sorry to see you wreck man. Hope you are OK...

No tickets yet in. NJ is known for mailing them to you (surprise). she jammed on her brakes as soon as the light turned yellow and I was about 4 car lengeths behind her the 4 door brakes sure do lock up and the mud tires on a wet road did not help. Thats why we pay so damn much for insurance. and yes i am fine like I said the kick took it like a tank.

WHen I got rear ended and pushed into a Tahoe, it took it like a champ.. Damn tanks these things are.
ALso I got rear ended by a Firebird, and backed into by a Neon. THese werent as bad but, never caused any real damage other than crapped bumper covers now.

Where I live, if you rear end sombody, nomater what the scenario it's the rear-ender's fault. Hope it all works out.

That front bumper sure left a nice mark on that ford :P. I have heard that if someone stops in the middle of the road for no reason and you hit them, it is not your fault(when someone slams on their brakes in front of you and their is no way to stop in time (some cars stop quicker than others).

i wish!
i got rear-ended a few months ago in a borrowed Rav4
I had my hazards AND my signal on while I was attempting to pull over to check a weird engine noise
no abrupt stop as the brake was applied gradually
lady hit me while speeding (she also spoke bad english)
meanwhile I called the police while she just looked at me
geico refused to pay

I've never been in any real major wrecks. But the first and previous owner (my uncle) completely ran over a deer one night. Didn't even do a thing to the front end. As he said, "the truck was airborn," and they hit the deer and ran over it. And a few weeks ago I parked my car behind my cousin's girlfriend's car in the driveway. She backed out one night without looking (she just got her license, puh-lease) and she slammed right into my car. I heard the crunch, and looked out the window and saw her pulling away from the front of my car. She didn't do a thing, but her Audi A4's bumper was a little mashed. Nothing dramatic.
It is nice to know these are safe and durable cars. I always brag about the fact that my truck is metal, wheras you can point to any modern car/truck on the road and it's either fiberglass or plastic. Rarely a majority of it made of metal.

I'm surprised you frinked up anything with that bumper.

Frinked up that 2000 Chevy 1 ton front end perty good. ;D
Where were your fog lights mounted?
