Title: Rocky Road Outfitters Supper Sliders are on.
Post by: HDMLNIUM on September 16, 2006, 06:50:51 AM
Last night after I finished up the lift kit I decided to put on the Rocky Road Super rock sliders. In shipping the hardware and instructions were lost so I called up Rocky Road and they were great to deal with. He offered to send me some new hardware and the instructions if I wanted. But when I get something I like to put it on right away.. lol So I just had him e-mail me the instuctions and got the bolts local. I ended up bolting them to the rockers like you are told to in the instruction but where they go to the frame I welded them there instead of using bolts. They came out real nice and I am very happy with the end product.. Here are a couple of pics...

Those look great! I have a set on my sami... Man,do they work!!! Be careful of peer pressure from your friends... Once I got mine on everyone wanted to see me "test them out". I caved in and tried them... lots of loud banging and grinding sounds came from that area of my vehicle... once I was home I took a look at them... Minor scrapes on it... sprayed em with some paint.... like new!!!

If you don't mind, how much did those run you shipped?

I'd like something like that for the GV.

Got any pictures of how they bolt to the rocker panel?

Thanks guys, I like how they turned out. They ran me $331.00 shipped.
I will take a couple more pics later today and post them for you of how they are mounted.

Here are a couple of pics of how I mounted them. On the rockers there are tabs with holes in them, you bolt the sliders to them. And where they bolt to the frame I just welded them on there instead of using bolts.

No I didn't measure the amount of lift from the kit, I should have though.. I can say it is for sure more than 2.5" of lift right now. I am sure she will settle down a little but I hope not to much..
