For everyone who has trimmed their front fenders...
What did you do with the inner plastic fender shroud? Did you toss it all together? Did you modify it? Did you use something different? ???
Any advice or pics would be great ;D

tossed mine ... (well actually sitting in a pile of other plastic bits waiting for a dump run).

Well when I trimmed back the front fenders, I wanted the fender to look stock from the side. That being said I removed the plastic liner and cut back to the bolts that hold the bottom of the fender. I did however leave the outter fender opening stock size. The spot mine rubbed was just inside of the fender opening. I then beat back the floorboard with a hammer, undercoated the thing and put the plastic liner back on with the stock fasteners and a couple of self tapping screws. I hope that helps.

YEAH!!! A BFH works every time!

I trimmed my fender back to the floor boards, Rolled the edges and modified the inner panel to look stock.
Well, almost stock. At the bottom of the wheel well, it's screwed into the tub.

I have a 98 2dr that i want to trim. It is the same color and model as the lifted Red one on the front page. It has plastic body cladding around the fender and rocker like a Vitara. I want to outline the plastic on the fenders and trim along that line.
I like the straight across to the headlingt trim as was shown in the Petersons mag, and Like DeVinny is running on Crusty, Just not sure I'm ready for that much chop chop.

sorry if this is a hi-jack, but what have people done on the rear guards?
in particular, the fuel filler area on swb models. i was thinking af cutting 1" off all the way around, or even 2" and make the guard flush with the wheel well.

We left our liners in, roll the bottom of the rocker a bit upward and it will hold the plastic back, mostly like stock.
