Title: swing out tie carrier for 2nd gen?

Has anybody built / modified a swing out spare tire carrier for a 2nd gen tractara?

I just purchased a full size spare (265/75/16) and I'm concerned about the weight of the tire on the tailgate and wether or not there is enough "meat" let in the oem bracket to either redrill or ovalize the holes to raise the bracket.
Looking at maybe getting a tire carrier off of a blazer / sportage / pathfinder and cobbling something up!

Any body with experience or picks would be appreciated. ;D
