Nice. I'm hoping to get my 1.6 8V installed in the pick up soon. The oil pipe/sump conversion is done and the adapter plate in on order.

how much of a difference is there between a 1.3 8v and a 1.6 8v?

1.3 8V = 63bhp, 1.6 8V = 80 bhp, 1.6 has much more torque and makes its power lower down too. They look very similar but the 1.6 is a bit taller and has a much stronger bottom end. The 1.3 on mine was pretty worn out so I went for the bigger motor. A 16V would have been nice but the 8V is a much simpler and cheaper swap, early 8Vs over here are carb and have the fuel pump on the head.
How much clearance have you got on the hood? You look to have a fair bit of lift so did you keep the 16V sump (oilpan?)?

standard spoa so i kept the pan the same , and on the hood im still debating , either shim the front up or cut out the support and reinforce the hood,im having to make some mods to the airbox. ive spent all saturday trim wires and cleaning up the rat nest of wire .so far no check engine light .

man, that 1.6L 16v is a beast compared to the 1.3 that was in it before....personally im a fullsize guy myself, but i get a kick out of driving his little zuk...that 16v 1.6 feels like it has the torque of a small V8 with those 6.4:1 Tcase gears....i cant wait to get back to the river for some more "zuki fishing".......
