lift kit?

have you heard of Old Man Emu? ::)

i consider to buy a kit, it's the only kit i found that is TÜV approved and has longer front shocks.

calmini is not TÜV approved, then i will get trouble with the authorities if i install it.

Seems we have similar tastes, I have a 2000 GV and a 1996 XR600 myself. Love the dual headlights, are they from BajaDesigns?

i can get the OME, it will take me where ever i want ;)

the other choice is to ilegally modify my GV, if you'r country does not care if you'r lift kit is approved, -lift it all you dare! (at least i whould go calmini and add a 2-3" bodylift ;D)

OR i can get a XL7 and ship it to Arctic Trucks, it sets me back NOK114000,- it translates to US $17500,- yes that's almost the US start price of the 06 GV :o

+the expence of a new XL7, NOK 374 900 (us $57 761)

this is how it turns out http://www.dinside.no/php/art.php?id=33856

i like it a lot, but too expensive for me :(

305/70-16...... or 33"

flares? is that the part that covers the tyre, that makes the car wider?

Yeah, I know the icelandic boys like to cut the fenders out to fit the bigger tires and then they use the flares to cover that and the wider tires.

ok, then the FLARES are made of fiberglass :)

i think it might hawe been a better choice to use some material like the BUSHWALKERS (or what they where called)

on Iceland they drive mainly on snow, not in the forrest like here in Norway.

so they make the cars really wide, but not as tall as i whould like.

flex is not so good either (it's possible to make it better ;))

Yeah, I've seen (and drooled) over their trucks.  They don't need uber flex to go rock crawling, just big, wide tires and the lowest center of gravity possible to go over the snow/ice pack. 8)

The shame of it is I know people here in the States that have inquired about buying some of their stuff for use here and haven't ever gotten much in the way of a response.
