Post by: locjaw on June 22, 2005, 11:50:42 AM
my father bought a tracker (sidekick)and it had a bad tranny. I had a tranny sitting around from a parts car so a couple of weekends ago we put some 4-1's in it. well, this weekend we are putting it in, so i thought I would ask " does anyone have any tips or tricks to make it go smoother" .
any sugestions would be appriciated
thanks

Get a good set of snap ring plyers.
If you've never taken apart a kick case before, you might want a FSM to see the exploded view.
Have patience.  Remember its aluminium.
Re-torque to specs.

Good luck.

The Tranny mounts on an 89 sidekick and a 91 tracker are a lill diffrent, the 2 brackets that come off the bottum of the motor have not were to mount.

thats all I could say
