Title: Power mode on 2003 Tracker not working.
Post by: rvgonda on October 05, 2006, 06:27:25 AM
Anyone out there know what the cause would be of the following problem: When the power switch is engaged the shift pattern doesn't change either on the level or on the flats. However the dash light "power" does light up - so the switch itself is funcitonal.

I still bet it's working.  Wide open throttle, there's no difference in shift points.  Part throttle, the shift points are slightly higher but it can be hard to notice.  It's very subtle, and not there to increase your 0-60 times or anything like that.  Under a load, you can tell.

What he said^. When pulling a load you can appreciate it's usefulness. ;)
