Title: Re: NUB here...

I'm a NUB here and I have been reading the past articles about peoples trucks here and I've still yet to hear about anyone with the same setup I'm running on my 'Zukarley'  that's a Zuki Sidekick with a one of a kind S&S 124 cubic inch twin cam v-twin mated to the stock transmission with a custom mounting bracket. My question is there anyone else that has done this to their truck or am I the only one? Because I was wondering if it were possible to run these in tandem with each other like a tractor at a tractor pull.

Never seen it on a Zuk but I worked on a trike with a big S & S on a VW type 1 IFS trans It worked well and I see no reason you couldn't run 2 in series but that is high $ for a zuk. My whole rig didn't cost as much a an S & S

Good luck

Let's see...

124 CI = about 2 Liters!  And a V-Twin, huh?  Sounds like fun!  What's the HP rating?

Hows the torque, that is the problem
with most Bike Engines, not the HP

I saw a 69 boss mustang somebody did that to, and it was tragedy.

We have quite a few bike engined cars over here, mainly Lotus 7 replicas. There have also been a few hillclimbers (different sort of hillclimbs!) built using bike top ends. IIRC I saw one recently with a V8 using 2 Hayabusa top ends.
You could run 2 in series (or parallel) the trick is to get them both running at the same speed. Maybe run one with a flyby wire throttle off the first.

Edit:
Check this out, LOTS of $$$ though. 95kg is around 210lbs.

The RPA is based on two Suzuki GSX-R1300 Hayabusa engines although only really uses cylinder heads and barrels with most other major ancillaries coming from Powertec. The unit has a flat plane crank and is the narrowest angle ‘Vee’ of the lot meaning it will be ideal for small, light sportscars - like most kitcars in fact. Although heavier at 95kg than the RST-V8 or Cyclone Y40R it has thus far produced the most power. The 2.6 unit has developed 380bhp in dyno testing; with much more to come according to Radical’s Mick Hyde, plus it develops 207lb/ft at just 6000rpm, before topping out at 10,500rpm, just like the RST. Colleague Steve Bennett has seen the unit being benchtested at Radical’s Peterborough base and says it’s a fantastic unit, that looks good, is compact and has massive power delivered in a flat curve of bhp and grunt. The RPA will be mated to a six-speed transaxle designed especially for the engine by Quaife, which will also be suitable for front-engined installations. The company also have plans for a 3-litre version based on their well-known 1500cc bored Hayabusa units. The cost of the engines will start at around £18,800.

I've known some bike engines with plenty of torque, you just have to get them up to 9000rpm to find it though.

But then again you haven't seen my 1300 cc VMax with 217 Nm/205 HP at 6500 revs ( just before the headgasket blew but that has been taken care of now ;)  )

Untill the special cranckshaft is ready, somewhere next week ( F1 material, can cope with over 500 CranckHP ), the new and stronger enginebolts arrive ( from England ) and the new headers are made to measure on the bike, then we will Dyno it again and see what she'll do than, probably about 230 RHP and a little more Torque  8) ;D

High RPM and torque, they just
don't go together, I would like to
drive an engine that could rev to
like 10-12K RPM, that way when
it sounds like it's maxed out, you
can punch it and watch the eyes
of your competition turn green with
envy
;D

I was awe-inspiring to see your truck throw the dirt around down there in Moab last year, Darin.  I bet sand dunes in your truck are a blast!  8)

Too bad the turbo didn't hold up and you had to resort to limping it home.

This is not a Photoshop. This is the Tiger z100, this one has 2 GSXR1000 engines, another was made with 2 ZXR12 engines. There is a hood for it.
