I recently purchased a fairly stock 86 tin top and have a couple of questions.
Firstly I am thinking of using the 3" calmini suspension lift and was wondering how well a 30-9.50-R15 will fit, roadwise and off-road wise.
And secondly the owner told me that there is a little leak on the passenger side somewhere in the firewall. I noticed this when it rained last night and it isnt that sizable of a leak but after looking and looking, I cannot locate the source of this leak. Anyone else have this problem? Is it something i can seal up with a metal bonding agent?
Any input is greatly appreciated.

On the leak check these things. Lift out the batter and see if there is a corrosion hole leading to the passenger compartment. Verify that the vent drain through connection are made. This is located up under the dash. The drain for that cowl vent connects to a pair of bulkheads and passes through back into the engine compartment to drain the cowl vent. Most likely though you have an acid hole behind the battery.

Thankyou for the tip and you were spot on. After all was said and done, I removed the tire and got my samurai up on blocks and discovered that in conjunction with the hole directly below the battery there was one in the very corner leading to the firewall, going right down a rusty bugger of a tube.
Four hours later and a red neck patch job with aluminum plate and steel + a half tube of silicone: no apparent leak.
Poured 40oz of bottled water onto the seam between hood and windshield and was drier than a bucket of sand :)
Now to see if it can withstand the pacific northwest winter wetness, lol.
