Title: bolt in axles trackick
Post by: TrAkLsI on October 12, 2006, 10:18:25 PM
I was looking at my brothers fj40, and notice that the front perches for the leafs was being held in by bolts. The fj have nice beefy axles and they have only 3 bolts on 1 side holding the perches on the axles and it was'nt even welded in.  So JW why don't someone make a kit with perches and directions to tell us where to drill so we can bolt the leafs in with toy axles.  After, drive it to a certified welder and get it welded in.  So the rest of us untalented guys can have a nice lifted STRAIGHT axle tracker. ;D

Due to the fact thats its highly dangerous.   :)  better off bringing perches and axles to a guy who can weld, then weld them drive them home..  If you have a pickup, or friend who does... your golden.

Tony Bennet (aka Red Baron) was talking about this the other day. I can't visualise the Toy set, I need pics! It sounds a bit dodgy but if it works for Toyota it can't be all that bad.
