Title: 89 trackick Inboarding shocks

Just wondering how hard it would be to inboard the rear shocks on a tracker? and if any ones done it.. also what shocks to use ect... pics would be kool ! ;)  lookin to get some more flex outta it and thought the idea of moven the shocks in would be a good start

With Crown Victoria rear shocks I have 24" of
wheel lift before the front, yes, front wheel comes
off the ground, the other side rear is still planted
on the ground.

Relocation of the shocks to inboard is not needed,
if anything, new axle mount points need to be made,
a little higher, which will help with your articulation
desires, as well as out a little to clear the shock body
and the axle housing, I dented my first shocks from
body to axle housing contact.

Your other option would be to get shocks that mount
with the body up, and the rod down, these would clear
but I don't know what brand you would want to try, and
the Crown Vic shocks are cheep, like $20 ea.

thanks for the info.. yea i guess its not really worth the work to inboard em yet.. ill get some crown vic shocks in there soon.. i just hate how they hang so low past the axle.. seems wierd but meh

How long are the CV shocks uncompressed?

The ProComp MX6 shocks are that way.   I heard that they are good shocks and work good for coil suspension, but I think that they only make shocks with eyelets so you have to get an adaptor.

I ran the MX6 on my last trucklet.  They worked well I ran them upside down with an eyelet adapter from Procomp. You loose some travel with the eyelet adaptor.
