Title: leaky sport?
Post by: JayN on October 18, 2006, 02:07:08 PM
i have a 97 4 door sport, it leaks water onto the pass. side floor after a good rain or a good washing. there is a decent sizedpuddle there afterwards. i have checked what i could under the cowl and can't really see where the drain holes are? any other suggestions of how to fix this or where to look?
our winter rainy season has just started and i don't want this all winter.
thanks

same problem with my tin top sammy.  It had a leaky battery that rotted the battery box and pooled up in the firewall and ate through that.  There was a square metal tube that had its end eaten away and for me I believe thats where my problems are.  Even after plating up the whole battery box area and siliconing the heck out of it I'm still up the creek.

Better to catch your problem fast because the rust it caused in my passenger floorpan was horrendous :(

I'm not sure how the guts of the sidekick sport are but I would check that area if the battery is mounted on the passenger side.
