hi everyone haven't been here in awhile .was wondering if anyone has some info ,about larger tires ,and shifting points with, auto tranny .i was out wheelin the other day .and everytime i tried to go up a hill the thing would just bog down .woudn't shift down. had to manually shift the auto ,it sucked . eventually over heating the tranny blowing fluid out everywhere . was wondering if the larger tires messed up the ecu ,shift points .and can this be corrected or do i need to change my diff gears . can the shift points be corrected with a new speedo gear or something . i have a 97 sidekick 5.13's (stock on 97 w/auto)  auto with OD ,on 31's was wondering if there is any solutions . in the city it works o.k. if i turn off the O/d and set the auto tranny to POWER mode .again it will spew tranny fluid out if i turn the o/d/ on ,on the highway . anyways looking for some info ,or suggestions . thought there might be some way of adjusting shift points . or recalibrating the speedo , i did a search but didn't really find anything

Try putting some small tires back on it and see how it does, sounds like the trans is slipping and making some heat, have a cooler on it? was it in second gear when you turned on the power button? filter in the trans clean? no kinks in the cooler lines if you have them? pan does not have a large dent in it?
