Okay, we actually installed this a couple of months ago, but just got around to posting this up. This bumper was built by a shop in Parchment, and was made out of 7'' C-channel. The bumper uses the original mounts, and another small steel plate was welded on the front of the frame, and threaded for the bumper to bolt to. Behind that bumper lies an m8000 tucked away from the elements. I also got lucky enough to have a friend powdercoat it. I'm very happy with the way it turned out, and intend for this gentleman that built it to create a rear bumper to match it.

Nice! I like the way the winch is tucked back behind it!
-
Looks alot like the ibuiltbumpers.com bumper for sidekicks, trackers... nice work tho...looks good!
-
Nice, where did you get the d-ring tabs?
-
just bought a block of steel 3/4'' thick i think and had the builder cut two pieces out of it.
-
I like the design. Did you come up with that or did the shop?
-
more pics!

I requested the flat ends for hi-lift points, and i wanted the winch to be mounted behind the bumper. The builder did an excellent job of tucking the winch in the best he could. I'll try to get some pics of how it sits on the car and how much clearance there is, but i couldnt be happier with the way it turned out. If anyone is interested in having a bumper built like this, i'd be happy to put you in contact with him.

How do you access the clutch handle for the winch? There doesn't look to be any room.
-
I'll have to get some pics up to show it, but the 4 mounting bolts for the bumper bolt to the bumper, leaving the clutch handle tucked up facing the vehicle. its kind of a pain the ass to have to reach under there to engage the clutch, but im working on a lever right so that I can engage/ disengage the winch from up by the grille.

What would be the estimated cost?

Wow, I REALLY like that bumper... nice and tucked in!
I wish that were on the market, I would definitely buy one of those...
Really gives a GREAT approach angle!! and none of that silly stinger crap...

I'm not exactly sure what the cost would be.. The builder is a family friend, and i spent alot of time with him trying to help him and learning some skills along the way. If anyone is interested, PM me and i can put you in touch with him.

i like it alot, what body lift are you running? can he make an exact replica of that one? pm me his info I would love to talk to him. I was just getting ready to order a schrockworks bumber next week but at $600 shipped i was hoping to find something for less.
