Title: ARB's in GV
Post by: Guardrail on January 17, 2005, 02:48:03 PM
I own an '01 Chevy tracker with 2.0 Liter 4cyl and 5 spd trans.  Can anybody tell me what is involved in putting ARB's in the front and rear pumkins?  RRO's website says something about a "conversion using RD88, Vitarra front third member assembly, and freewheeling hubs." for the front and a "Vitarra third member assembly (and upgrade to 26 spline axle shafts if required)." for the rear.  Do I need different axles and diffs to do this and How much will all of this cost?

Thanks in advance.

Do you have free wheeling hubs fitted or is yours like a G/Vitara with the air operated engagement system ?

All the stuff about the conversion is to do with the air operated ones having about a 3/8" off set to the L/H axle and no FW Hubs.

Basically if you have FWH's it an easy swap and if not you need a the shorter axle from a Vitara, RH inner C/V (longer spline on it) and FWH's to make it work.
