Title: Any wide body / sport Kicks/Vitaras running crawler gears ?
Post by: ZeusZuki on October 23, 2006, 03:45:39 PM
Any body out there with Widebody 2.0 V6 Vitaras running rock crawler T gears ?

ZukFest absolutely went off. What a ball - I will be sending Eric Bewley some pic's and an article to do a story on it so keep an eye out for this future article. In the end 43 rigs turned up  :o , not bad for a first time event  ;)

Anyway - we ( a group of friends and myself with kitted rigs ) went out playing and found some old favourate trails from years back that we could never get up. Well this time we drove them all - our rigs have come a long way since then. However we did find that our V6's could use deeper gears and this is our next mod, 33's and stock gearing have taken their toll. The motors were pulling no more than 2000rpm climbing up some very steep climbs - we could do with some more power at hand for our future adventures  ;D

What I am trying to find out if the gears will fit our T boxes.

Any input appreciated  :)

Even the GV 4 speed autos can run them. It was the manuals and later 5 speed autos with the changed output shaft that can't run them. You'll love the gearing, it pulls nicely from down low.

I will when I've finished getting it sorted......almost put it on it's roof on the weekend, just managed to save it  ::) I've got to stop playing these games. If it had gone over that would mean I would have tipped over three times in three cars in less than a year  :-[
