Would the Sammy springs in a heavier Tracker have a better ride than the Sammy springs in a Sammy, or would I be better off using Jeep Wagoneer/CJ/YJ springs?
Also, how necessary is an anti-wrap thingy for spring over solid axles? Would it be fine without one? Heather, Nate, what are you guys running in regards to anti-wrap devices, or do you not have a problem with axle wrap?

yes that would work , its not nessary if you have stiff springs, i had somthing like that on my sammy ,i could tell the first time i let out the clutch after i put it in it was more shur footed. but i did rip it off the axel twice but i refoprced it and did pretty good.
dont know what the threaded end is for thow.
i think you probably want it as long as possible too

I assume the threaded end is to adjust it, if needed.
Also, are YJ's stiff enough to get away without having an anti-wrap deal, or are they too soft?

buddy has 3'' lift yjs on his sammy and has no problems ,but their pretty stiff

You'll need it. I get wrap with my stiff spua samurai with 30's :o.

I think sammy springs are going to be almost too "light" for our heavier trucks, that's why I went with YJ's. YJ spring rates ARE soft, as a matter of fact, that's what a lot of Sammy guys claim when they put them on their trucks, but they like it because it gives them lots more flexyness.
We didn't go with any antiwrap devices in the rear and we ended up paying for it in the end. Because of the Kicker 3, and the 4:24 calmini gears in the Kick case, we have a LOT of torque. We ended up turning our rear springs into S's, (ruining them) and being that I had to drive the truck as a daily for a while until we could start working on it, we ruined the back ujoint yoke. so in order to fix that driveline, a new yoke would have to be put on it. Not just a ujoint. Plus we went through several ujoints. This also helped to create a "death wobble" (my truck would start to swing from side to side while in motion - very scary) which is also why I'm putting swaybars with disconnects all the way around as well.
I *highly* recommend an anti-wrap device, to prevent this problem. And stiff springs are only stiff for so long.
I am going to install one for sure.

Hrm... I can't be affording to replace broken stuff that could be prevented with anti-wrap stuff... Are you going to be building your own, or buying one? Pics either way, please ;D

A friend of mine has one very similiar to this on his Jeep. I will try and snap a pick this weekend.
Another freind had a anti wrap bar, went with stiffer springs to get rid of the bar, now he is going back to the anti wrap bar. He said it rides way to rough to keep the wrap out.
