Has anyone modified a 1.6L TBI with an adjustable pressure regulator? How about a larger injector (is there one available)? I did find a TBI spacer on-line but also looking for other mods.

Wild had/has an adjustable pressure regulator fitted to get enough fuel flow with the turbo. There is no alternative to the stock TBI injector. At one point I did look at modifying the stock set up by fitting an alternative injector into a spacer and removing the old injector. The bottom of the TBI unit could then be bored out a few mm and a larger butterfly fitted. Then you just need to sort the fuelling.

Is there a way of removing the stock fuel reg -- threading it -- and add the new plumbing?
I am trying to be as strict budget as possible -- with two daughters married this year -- it has totally killed my race car budget!!
ANY ideas to keep as low budget as possible and still get one or two HP here and there helps immensely!!

You can do , I'm sure Wild be be around at some point to tell you how. I don't see that you are going to get any advantage without increasing the airflow - unless its currently running lean.

It runs great out of the hole -- .017 reaction time -- but I am running out of power on the top end -- almost like running out of fuel. I just want to do little mods to try and get a little more HP until I can get more bucks to do more.

Can you give the link for the TBI spacer...
Thanks

The TBI spacer is located

I may try one and the pulleys as well. I am having a hard time locating any other fuel delivery systems for the 1.6L

Stock EFI pump will only supply about 50-60 PSI before it
starts to vent fuel out of the pump and into the tank.
The adjustable regulator I made consisted of a restrictor
type of air regulator, the kind you would use for a paint
gun, and a guage to set it by, simple and cheep, BTW the
stock injector will not open if the fuel pressure is over 80
PSI, and to double your fuel flow you would need 4 times
the fuel pressure, stock is 36 if I remember right, so don't
look for huge flow increases, at 80 PSI I only could use 3
PSI boost before I ran out of fuel.

Check and possibly change the cam timing.

Wild, can you draw up a layout on how to set this up?
Then what would a better system be? (besides going with the Webers)?
A 1.3L intake and a Weber 34/36 carb?
I need info which is hard to come by as well as the parts. I wish Calmini made the supercharger system again.
Eric, who has the cam gear for the 1.6L Zook?
Thanks guys I appreciate ANY & ALL info I can get!!
