Title: tracker/kick ring and pinions in a samurai 3rd member?
Post by: zukigroundpounder on November 02, 2006, 08:02:56 PM
hello
i have seen a few posting on here about this but i was wondering is the pinions out of a tracker /kick the same size as the samurai? i mean as for the bearings thats is or do you have to use the 3rd member from the tracker/kick too? i want to change my ring and pinions in my samurai and want to keep my samurais 3rd member because it better built then the tracker/kick is so can i just swap the tracker ring and pinions and use my 3rd member.
thanks rick.

ps they look the same to me but i have not mic one to see.

you can use the front ring and pinion out of a tracker/kick.  You will need a cross pin retaining ring and a machined carrier bearing side adjuster.  I would not recommend using them in the rear of your sammy, cause they are to weak.  You need to get a hybrid housing to run a rear tracker/kick third member. Here is a link to everything you need.
