Title: need help with samurai! running terribly
Post by: W.O.T on November 02, 2006, 11:02:43 PM
hello im new to this forum and need some help.  i just bought a 1990 samurai 1.3 fuel injected.  drove it for one day and all the sudden it started to run very bad.  it was acting like there was water under the distributor cap running really rough sputtering and dying when i gave it gas.  so far i changed the fuel filter/pump, plug wires and plugs cap rotor, checked compression, went through throttle body, it is working fine.  there is a spark it appears red not normal color.  it runs ok at idle but uder any load it just wants to die.  sometimes wont even start at all.  i disconnected the cat from the header thinking it maybe clogged not that either.  sprayed starting fluid into the throttle body and nothing.  ive really came to the conclusion the problem is electrical.  any ideas?  the ECM was rebuilt by petro works a yr ago.  could it be the coil?  i really would appreciate any advice before having to pay lots at the shop.  thanks(http://myspace-167.vo.llnwd.net/01372/76/17/1372127167_l.jpg)
