Hey guys, Im brand new to the suzuki world, but thanks to the good ole internet, I am looking to get into it. I currently am looking to find about a 90-93 samurai, and I have a few questions. This truck will be something that I can have some fun with, but still drive anyday of the week. I want to put 31X10.5s on it, so how big of a lift am I going to need to clear those. Also, I have read the acronym SPOA in many places dealing with suspension, what is that? In the past ive been a big sportscar guy, but am looking for a change, any advice is appreciated.
Thanks

SPOA
Spring over axle
The sammies have the springs mounted under the axles.
for a cheap lift, they move the axle under the springs
you get a 5"inch(?) lift out of it.
there is more to it than that but that s the basic.
good luck on finding a good 90-93 Sammie.
Looking for the F.I.?

Look at any of the vendors links and they can get you setup for a proper spoa. You will need to address gearing with those bigger tires, you can do this by dropping in some 4:1 gears or higher in your t-case. If you can, get some new springs or add a leaf or two from a stock sammy spring pack to them. This will help, fight axle wrap and spring sag due to the spoa. Good luck. ;D
