Title: "4WD" switch
Post by: ZukiPower on November 20, 2006, 07:51:00 PM
Hello all!

My transfert case work correctly but the "4WD" light don't go on.

The lightbulb is good, so I suppose the switch in the t-case is stuck by rust or something but I just don't find it!  Does anyone knows where it is hidden? :-\

I check under the central console but wasn't able to locate the damn thing!

It's a minor problem but a little irritating.  I suppose it will not be that difficult to correct once you know where to look. :o

Thanks.

Oups!

Just checked a couple of old posts.

If I understand, the 4WD switch is not simply linked to the shaft.  The fact that it's not on can mean the 4WD mode is not engaging at all.

Ok, now I'm worried!  :'(

MERDE!!  >:(

I believe that that is only the case on the later models with air actuated diffs/hubs. On earlier models the lamp is simply grounded by the switch in the tcase.

Really?  Wow thanks Rhino.  I really hope your right.

That's a real relief, since  my zuk is a '93 I suppose that it means than only the switch is faulty.

Still, I haven't find it yet! ???
