Title: water crossing, oil change diff??
Post by: BFM on November 27, 2006, 05:53:29 AM
For those that have been there and done that...how deep of water can the trackicks cross before diff's need to be drained and oil changed.  I can see the vents are above the fenders but I am still curious about leakage into the diffs from around the axels.

They're usually pretty watertight. The front breather comes up near the top of the radiator and the rear is behind the rear light cluster. If the seals on the wheel bearings are worn then water could get in there.
