Title: Newbie question 80 or 95 hp?
Post by: Allred on November 28, 2006, 08:25:48 AM: Newbie in Salt Lake City, looking to buy a Sidekick/Tracker, 2 door 5-speed, 4WD for towing behind motorhom e, to be used for around town, camp, and moderate trails.

Is there a big deal between the 80 hp and 95 hp engines for power or reliability?

Anything else to look for or avoid?

They might be convenient, but flat-towing with auto-locking hubs can cause severe damage to the drivetrain.

Nah, its not just you, I'd go for the 16V too. Theres just been so many times when I wanted that extra power.

Just so you know you don't need to avoid them but is easier to not have to swap them over.
Just be sure to do this before you start towing.
