Title: Sidekick strut mount flip question

I was looking through this set of instructions...

...and I noticed the guy says to drill out the bolt holes a little bit. I was just wondering why.

Not my thread, but for me, I used larger(3/8") grade 8 bolts, so the holes needed to be drilled for the bigger bolts. I also used a 2.25 or 2.5"(can't remember) exhaust flange to fill in the rolled edge, as appose to the washers that are mentioned.

M6 clearance hole should be 6.2mm. The standard hole size is too small for a stock bolt. When you remove the original studs its best to grind them or drill them out, drifting them out with a hammer tends to twist the metal about.
