Title: best all round gearing for 32s
Post by: 88zuki999 on January 11, 2005, 02:54:49 PM
alrighty everyone as the name sayz i have a 88 sami. all stock running pretty good.  Now its time to get serious with it.  I want to run 32s...im prolly gonna do a 5inch calmini lift and trim whatever i need to, to make it work. My problem comes to my gearing.  I would rather re gear the t-case.  This isnt going to be a trailer queen, so i need it to make the 1hr drive to Paragon down the hiway.  I would be happy with a confortable 55 to 60 crusing speed without over reving the engine to bad.  What t-case gearing set do you guys think would work best with this thing.

I run 33's with the 4 to 1 t-case gears and I can't use fifth gear, so I would say 6 to 1's or 8 to 1's if you could afford them. (749.00 ver 1000.00)

isn't it realtivly easy to modify kick gearsets for a sammi? 5.12's with lower t-case gearing would be good!!

I recomend just doing the t-case gears, 6.5:1 or 6:1 mentioned earlier should be about perfect.  There might be a 5.8:1 out there to.

One advantage of t-case only is you are still using stock diffs.  Therefore finding a spare or replacement should you manage to grenade one is a bit easier.  :D
