What kind of mods can I do to my 1.3L engine (1987) If I'm about to rebuild the engine?
My car runs on tairs between 29 - 30" with stock t-case ( I'm thinking about changening it to t-case from 1L SJ )

A Weber or SU carburettor conversion and a good header/exhaust will give a very good increase in power.
Can you fabricate parts or are you looking for bolt on parts?
Headers are available from Calmini, Hawk Strictly Suzuki and Janspeed
Weber conversions from lots of places, maybe somewhere local to you.
SU conversions from, among others RS Manufacturing
(I'll post some links later from home)

That will most likley give you the best results. Im about to do the same thing. I already have a thory header just need the Isky cam and weber carb.

The advantage of the SU is that it doesn't suffer from stalling at extreme angles, the disadvantage is that it is a horizontally mounted carb. There are a number of ways of fitting the carb. If you are interested in this there are lots of posts on this conversion on http://www.difflock.com.
