Title: 1988.5 samurai temp/fuel gauge problem

Does anyone know if there is an ongoing problem with samurais temp/fuel gauges? Mine aren't working right and i tried replacing the whole cluster and it did the same thing (max out).

  Sounds like you may have a grounding problem of some sort. Check your connections, clean them and the battery terminals.  A wire may be exposed and making contact somewhere.
