Just wondering if i could swap out the tierod without jacking it up
-
I would and then adjust the new one to go back where the other one was.
-
Wouldn't you need to take the wheel off?
-
yes
-
This is on a samurai not a kick, just undo the tierod nuts and use a pickle fork or just hit the side of the knuckle arms with a hammer and there ya go. if ya use a fork it will tear the boots up.
-
if the pickle fork dosnt work...apply heat followed by a B.F.H. I my self would go with the 9 Lb ;D

thanks for the tips all. replaced it yesterday and dives great. also had to replace the valve cover gasket as it started to spit oil onto the exhaust manifold in large quantities and was smoking out the whole island. also i am having trouble adding a pic. i've tried following the steps that should work and nothing. anyway thanks for the help.
