toyota axles work very well, width is good. just remember that the kick t-case has no high range reduction, and already has pretty steep axle gears from the factory.
i'm running toyota axles with 5.71 gears on 33" tires and i think it could be lower(but just a little tiny bit).
Trail Toughs SAS kit is totaly AWESOME. link.......http://www.zukiworld.com/month_080106/feature_sas_sidekick_hoff.htm (http://www.zukiworld.com/month_080106/feature_sas_sidekick_hoff.htm)

go with whatever you want? any axle can be narrowed. just keep gear options in mind.
i would go with a d44 if i was doing it now.
