I removed my tank saver to install a trailer hitch(so I can use a hitch mount bike rack), but the threads on the bolts are not that great, and I want to get some new ones or some in better shape.
Does anyone know the size of these so I can buy new, or are there any other areas(less exposed to the elements) that use the same size so I could take them off a parts rig, or use to figure out the thread?
I tried testing them on some nuts at Canadian Tire, but couldn't get the right thread, maybe because they are in too bad of shape.

Those bolts are metric thread. Mine were in tough shape also so I just drilled out the holes and tapped them for a 1/2 inch bolt

Take them into Ace hardware or your local hardware store. They can tell what size they are and they might have a tap to chase the treads.
