Title: New Tracker Vid
Post by: PSYKOCHI on December 26, 2006, 04:25:20 PM
;D  Hey guys I entered the War of the Imports |removethispart|@ Orlando Speed World back on Dec. 10.  I got through 2 rounds of elimination before going out in the 3rd round because I red-lighted....
Here is a new vid of the 'Psyko Chiwaawaa.  I got both wheels off the ground this time.

This was a test & tune run....this guy would be spotting me out 5 sec during a race.

Nice wheelie :D
Did you stall out after that?
Or that dreaded 1st to 2nd shift?

;D  It lauches very hard -- it looks as if it did fall off but picked up again -- just need better induction system instead of TBI that I have.  One of these days -- I am going to get a TBI spacer and see if that helps......

Looks great popping the front wheels.

What made you pick a Tracker?  It seems like an unlikely platform for drag racing, especially when you know, going in, that you won't get any respect.  I'm sure there is a story there that we'd love to hear.

Oh yeah I knew that....NO RESPECT AT ALL  >:D   I get a lot different looks and comments....like: I wouldn't be caught dead in a Tracker....I beat his buddy in the first round. There are some people that like it and says it really looks good.  This last race I was in a couple of kids walked by and said "there it is the green Tracker......it is totally insane".  BUT the best part is since no one wants to get beat by a Tracker they end up redlighting 'cause they don't want to give me a 5 second head start.  It leaves so hard and quick (.017 reaction time) I get the other to red light.

A Tracker -- why not -- it is different - nobody else is running them -- it is great to be different and not racing a damn honder.  Plus it is a lot of fun!!  I used to race a '69 Chevelle with a small block 30 years ago...I have more fun with this little Tracker than I ever did with the Chevelle.

I started off in the 19s and I have the Tracker down in the low 17s....It needs more work but as my budget allows I'll add some more stuff to it.  I want to stick with the Zook motor....Some people try to talk me into a Mazda rotary or a toyota.....I just don't want to do it....the Zook motor weighs about 200 lbs...the whole Tracker weighs 1840.....2050 with my big ol' carcass in it....it's just fun.

One of these days maybe I'll get a sponsor and drop a juiced up Zook motor in it and kick some Honda behind!!

That's why I am on here to get ideas from some of you die hard Zook brothers.....

Usually when I race I team up with a friend of mine who has a 12 sec. Samurai (LJ80) Turbo 1.3L w/ a DOHC Sprint head....very quick.  He tries to take out the slower cars and I try and take out the faster cars and meet, hopefully, in the finals.....haven't quite got to that point yet.

I just like my little 'Psyko Chiwaawaa" Tracker, it is different.
thanks jzap
