I am looking to find out who makes bumpers for our rigs. Anyone have any links? Pics?
Anyone know who made this bumper?

In the states.........nobody that I know of. Calmini will only make them when 10 people give them credit cards (preorder). And they are a pain in the ass. They've been showing parts on their website that they don't even carry for 6-7 years now.

Rocky Road Outfitters has told me it's gonna be a while, as they are swamped with more orders for various products than they can handle.

Many of us are in the same boat as you. Here are a couple of ideas. Shrockworks has a Tracker/Sidekick bumper that can (supposedly) be modified to fit. I would definitely call them and find out who has modified it, and what brackets they used/how hard it was, etc. Please share the info if you do call them! We're all curious.

Here is a site in the UK that makes a bumper, although it would be a little pricey with shipping. Also, I don't know if the fitment would be the same for left-hand drive v.s. right hand drive vehicles. ??? I'm assuming it might be.

DEFINITELY email these companies and let them know you are interested in a Grand Vitara bumper. Remember that "the squeeky wheel gets the grease," and many of us have been riding their asses for years now, hoping they will build bumpers. Contact Calmini, Rocky Road, ARB USA, Shrockworks, etc.
I contacted this company in Canada, and they told me they might be manufacturing some bumpers in the next year. Drop 'em an email. Maybe it'll happen faster!

The only other option right now is fabrication.
Good luck!! Keep us posted!

Well I have contacted Calmini, RRO & Shrockworks and have come up with the same answers that you recieved. As far as Shrockworks they told me that it has been done but they are not sure what has been done and that they said it would be very dificult to alter to make it work. I will check the other ones you listed and see what I can come up with. thanks

Yankee-tim that is a good looking rig :) , any more photos and a acc-list ??
can anybody translate the bumper prices to USD??
plus how do you get around the Airbag Issue??
-
Airbag sensor is in the cab, not the bumper.
Might be a little stiff and cause airbag deployment when not required? You have to hit pretty hard to set the bags off, though. ARB uses shock absorbing (collapsable or consumable if you will) mounts to deter this.

is that on all GVs??
in oz you do not have a airbag compatable bar your vehicle is not roadworthy!!
that means only sierra's and vitara get the good looking stuff >:(

Well, let's say it's got bigger tires and a lot of foo-foo. ;D It's a work in progress.
Air bag? The air bag sensor in the 2000 GV is mounted on the tranny tunnel. No sensors in the bumper. So no impact on the SRS. Everything works just as it should.

What would you guys be willing to pay for these, USD (not including domestic shipping)?
-
In Russia this bumper costs 800 USD. More dearly than Calmini (~700), but is cheaper than ARB (~1200). It is better than ARB - there are places for fog lamps, 2 types Hi-Lift jacking points, 9000 or 6000 winches.
