Title: '90 Trackick matched lock/key set?
Post by: JamesG on January 10, 2007, 10:21:37 AM
Hello,
I am a proud new owner of a '90 Tracker that needs some TLC.

One of the first things I want to fix is that a PO installed an aftermarket ignition switch that no longer matches the original door key. This is annoying enough, but either the ignition or key is wearing out and so requires the "jiggle 'til it turns" starting method.

Is there a way to get either a new ignition switch assembly that matches the original key code, or a replacement set of matched locks for all 4 (ignition, doors, and glove box)?

TIA,
James

find a track kick in a junkyard with a key and pull everything, I just took the Ignition switch, both door locks, tailgate lock and glovebox out of a 1995 Sidekick and installed it all in my GMC tracker

its pretty easy
