Title: gas tank
Post by: Eden1 on January 10, 2007, 11:24:08 PM
I see alot of guys asking about lifting there tanks. What I was wondering is could you put a bigger tank in or build a bigger tank to fill the void left by the body lift?I know I think its a pain in the ass to fill up every couple days. Also I put 31x10.5x15 boots on the other day and the tracker sucks up the fuel pretty quik now.Is this normal? This is why I am thinking bigger tank you see.Anything helps. Thanks guys.

Larger tires moved out of normal rpm range and decreased your fuel efficiency. On the up side you are going farther and faster on a gallon of gas than your odomiter and speedo says you are. Confusing ? Every modification is a trade off...

Are you going to MOAB?...Gary

No reason why you couldn't fit a bigger tank. Like Gary says your fuel consumption will be worse but the mileometer will read low so it may not be as bad as it seems.
