Title: Sidekick won't start !

i just got a automatic 92 4 dr 16v sidekick today. now went to start it and wouldn't. i kept messing with it and got it to turn over and fire 2 times. then after that nothing. also i donot hear a relay or anything when i go to crank it. the relay comes on when u turn key to on and everything else works (radio, windows, heater, etc) also when key is on and i apply brake the shifter does not release but brake lights work. anyone help me here?

Try another Known good ECM, maybe a friend has one you can use, or if you know someone at a salvage yard, you could ask to borrow one for testing.

also at the bottom of your shifter there should be a button that you can pull out and that will allow you to take it out of park without touching the brake pedal.
