No beefy parts questions or anything about hacking to fit 35's but can anyone recommend a good brand of windshield wiper blades for a Tracker? I've got some $12 each silicone-blade monobeam, supposed to be from the hand of god, work great every time, blah blah blah blades now that do okay except for one thing...
There's ALWAYS a 4-6" streak on the driver's side that they miss right in front of my eyes. The passenger side is crystal clear while the driver's side does this probably 95% of the time. It's starting to piss me off a bit.
Man I need to move south...
Not to mention NO ONE up here seems to even know what a silicone wiper blade is and the best they seem to have are either regular wiper blades or the same crap but with a big name on it.

I have tried alot of the fancy blades as we get a shit load of rain here. teflon this/silicon that triple blad blah blah blah!
I now buy the cheapest blade possible and it works just as good and I replace them every fall when the weather turns bad as they don't like sun much.

i just use the cheapest ($3) and then spray some of that no-touch stuff on when it starts to rain
makes everything bead off like rain-x and you dont even need wipers past 40mph

iam having the same problem with mine, i was thinking of getting some of them stiff spring deals that go onto the wiperarms to put more preasure on the blades and maybe work a bit better or burnout the wiper motor :'(

i had some of those sping deals and tyhey seemed to help alot but they wore out kinda fast. i now have the cheezy ricer style ones that are fake carbon fiber ones. there are 2 blades per wiper and i absoultly love them. if anyone has a princess auto near you i think i got a pair for 5 or 10 bux maxs. just a thought

I'm with the cheapos, too. Replace 'em more often, but they work as well as any. Also agree with the Rain-X suggestion, but I'm too lazy to bother.
-
The cheapos are the theme I'm noticing among replies. I think I'll take the cheap route and only get one cheapo tomorrow as the passenger side currently does a good job.
I've used Rain-X before but dunno how well it does in Michigan winter, road salt grime, and general icy, dirty, I-hate-winter crap.

I bought "Roberk" All-Weather wipers before the winter, real cheap and they work great! (I was having the same contact problem before with metal-arm wiper blades)
