Title: 97 Tracker 4x4 auto will not start

It starts and runs intermittently. I have checked the fuel pump and filter and they are ok. I think it is the ECM. Does anyone know where I can find one? Thanks

Does the check engine light pop on?
Does it run for a day and the next day it doesn't?
Or runs a short distance and then stalls? restarts?

It was doing all of the above. Now it does not restart for a long time after it stalls and it only runs for a very short time. The check engine light has been on for a long time before it started this. It was throwing a 02 sensor code. I have replaced the 02 sensor before but it only lasted about 20k miles.

I sent my ECM off to be checked and rebuilt if it is faulty. I should hear back in a few days. The company that does this is in south Florida.

I got word back on my ECM yesterday. They said it was fine no problems there. Now I am at a loss for what to do next. Any suggestions? Thanks

tach jump around at all? kinda sounds like a igniter.

I ordered a new distributor yesterday. I sure hope that is it. I can't return it if is not. They sure think a lot of these things. I got to go out to Missouri for a couple of weeks so it will be that long before I find out.
