Suzuki Displays Expanded Line of Production and Concept Vehicles at Los Angeles International Auto Show
New 2005 Reno and Forenza Wagon, and new "Suzuki Works Techno" accessory line make American Suzuki a must-see for show goers
BREA, Calif. (December 27, 2004) - American Suzuki Motor Corp. (ASMC) arrives at the 2005 Los Angeles International Auto Show at a unique time in its 20-year history of selling cars and SUVs in the United States. Sales growth, new-product introductions and customer and dealer excitement for the brand are at all-time highs.
And now, Southern California auto enthusiasts will be treated to a first look at two new, European-designed Suzuki models, the five-door 2005 Reno and 2005 Forenza Wagon, which combine with the latest models of the Grand Vitara and XL-7 SUVs; Aerio, Forenza and Verona sedans; and the dynamic Aerio SX five-door crossover, to give Suzuki its most diverse product line ever.
In addition to an expanded 2005 model line, L.A. International Auto Show visitors can check out two unique Suzuki Works Techno (SWT) concept vehicles on display in the Suzuki booth this year.
"Clearly, American Suzuki is on the move with new products and marketing initiatives that underscore our commitment to offering America's best value," explained Koichi Suzuki, president of ASMC Automotive Operations. "Innovative new 2005 models are drawing more first-time Suzuki customers and helping us to grow the brand in the U.S. market."
Year-to-date sales of Suzuki cars and SUVs in the U.S. through November 2004 are up 27 percent over the same period last year. In addition to last year's fast-selling Forenza and Verona, the all-new Reno and Forenza Wagon, making their L.A. Auto Show debut, are helping to cement the automaker's reputation for combining capable toughness, leading-edge style and high-end features offering a high value at competitive prices.
Concept Vehicles
Taking its cue from the popularity of the personalized automotive styling trend, ASMC is using the occasion of the L.A. Auto Show to display Suzuki Works Techno (SWT) concept vehicles featuring high-style trim package interpretations of its most sporty models. The first two SWT vehicles - the Sunburst Reno SWT and Techno Blue Aerio SX SWT - offer such features as carbon fiber enhancements including styled body graphics and dash, console, headlight and rear license plate trim; chrome gunmetal gray and white alloy wheels; stainless steel exhaust tips; front strut bars; and mid-mount rear spoilers.
Launched in late 2004, the Suzuki Reno SWT package is geared toward Generations X and Y and will be followed by high-style SWT trim packages for the Aerio sedan, Forenza premium compact sedan and Forenza Wagon.

I believe, not for sure, but the two Reno's are the two previously displayed ones. The 'root beer brown' and 'blue' units. I'm pretty sure I put up a PR on them when they came out. Try searching for RENO content. Sorry I am not more help at the moment...

That's ok. I'll be at the Toronto International Auto Show this Feburary and I'll have plenty of pics like last year. What pisses me off is that Suzuki Canada has no plans to put out the Reno here. I bet GM is calling the shots on that.
