Title: scary at higher speeds
Post by: hemiwin on February 01, 2007, 07:54:44 PM
I have a 1990 sammy with a 8" SPOA and 32" tires.   At road speeds(35mph+), it wanders all over the place and is hard to keep on the road.
Will a steering stabilizer help? How about the Old Man Emu that bolts on in the stock location?
Or should I get a trailMaster dual stabilizer?

Any other suggestions??                     THANKS

SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE BUMP STEER, IN SHORT YOU HAVE TO REDUCE THE ANGLE OF YOUR STEERING  ARM

When you did the spoa, did you keep your castor angle correct?

Do you have Hi-steer?  If not you should try that, full stage 2 hi steer is awsome, it gets rid of mostly everything and makes the turning a lot nicer.  The Z-link bar still has bump steer and i think it steers differently.

I have never delt with the dual stabilizer befor, just the OME one and it works pretty dam good, i have no complaints.

well i hope that helps out a bit

Thanks guys, it has the Over The Top steering.
Rocky road as well as you guys said to get an alignment and have the castor checked.
That is what I will do .
THANKS
