That site is very well set-up. Thanks for passing it on.
-
thanks already came in handy ;D
-
Awesome site! It doesn't work in FireFox however... wonder why.
-
wierd, im useing firefox and i havent had a problem
-
When I try to access it using FF, it prompts me for a login username and password. Strange.
-
toltrkr,
Are you behind a firewall? Says if prompted for login name/password, you might be behind a firewall:
If you see a login screen when trying to connect to the Auto Repair Reference Center (AARC),
you may be behind a firewall.
Wasn't able to access site with Windows Vista but had no problem in with my XP machince

I'm not able to get on it anymore. I was able to for a while, but lately it's been asking for a login username and password. Anyone have a way around it? I can't even find a way to register for a usernam and password. I really would like to have a resource like this for when I change out a whole slew of parts (changing my clutch disc, PCV valve, gas filter and O2 sensor at the same time)
I should mention I'm not behind a firewall. I've been to this site before and have seen that nice manual. Now it seems to just not let me back on.

Looks like they changed it:
Authorized Users can obtain access to EBSCO's databases and services; and the "Authorized User(s)" are employees, students, registered patrons, walk-in patrons, or other persons affiliated with Licensee or otherwise permitted to use Licensee's facilities and authorized by Licensee to access Databases

^ me too

:(
So does anyone else have any links to an online service manual like this? I'd buy the books from the auto shops, but the one my brother has seems like crap, since it wasn't so accurate for my brother's geo metro. When removing his clutch, my brother and dad pretty much had to wing it since the manual was so bad.
-
yea, i havent been able to use it. i think they shutdown the link or something. a university in winnipeg uses it and all the students use the same login and pass....
when i get it ill let ya know
-
I got on once when you first posted the link with firefox. Nothing now but a sign in screen. I even tried my corrupt previous brouser- attyahoo and same results. I look forward to the link. Maybe they would give us permission to access their library if we contacted them?

I think I got into it but, I dont think I should be saying how here...
ok, its not bad or anything, but up at my college there is a default user name and password for when someone doesnt have theirs..
Try user name: student password: student >:D Tell me if this is the repair manual your talking about, cause I didnt see anything about cars in there, I dont think... ???
-
I click on the auto reference link and it asks for the password. I entered the student/student and it took me to warren hills regional highschools page. I fished around and found a help center that talks about the reference center but not how to access it. Maybe they figured out that a few unauthorized users got in and so they changed how you access it. Either that, or the auto reference center only can be accessed by businesses, and with a different user and password?
FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! IT'S JUST INFORMATION! SHARE IT!

everyone try a username and password, we'll find one that works.. If we dont their server will probably shut down due to the DoS attack were doing ;D

yeah, but it's not as good. I found the autozone one, but I liked this other one better.

How lovely. The day before I go to change my clutch they take down the site again? Is the server down or have they removed the site entirely?
Strike that. I'm not sure what happened, I think they did move the site. I had it bookmarked as "http://seaarch.epnet.com/" and it's been working for the longest time. Just recently it stopped, so I googled that address and it came up with "http://search.epnet.com/" (note the double A's in the first link.)
