When I got my 94 Tracker, it came with a factory soft top and the hardware in a baggie. I have no idea how to install it. anyone got some instructions?
Also, when ordering a replacement top, does it come with or without hardware. I plan on replacing the skin and windows as mine is white and in ruff shape.
Are the replacement tops the same crappy vinyl, or are they more like the Jeep tops?
Last question...what is the difference between the 94 and 95 soft top and why is the 95 top more desireable?
Thanks,
Smurf

Sorry, I have a '96, so I can't help with your first question. I believe the '95 and '96 tops are similar. The '96 top has side windows that zip out. You can take out the side windows and back window, which gives you a full length safari style top. It's open all the way around, but you have shade.

The 94 and earlier tops are much easier to install, they're less complicated. Try to look for install sheets on besttop's website, as well as tops4less, or look for the owners manual. 95 and later tops have the zip out windows, more complicated hardware. I've had both and I'm undecided on which I like more, because I like each for different reasons. for the 95+ I like the zip-out windows, and how you can open the tailgate without unhooking the rear window, but I find the 94- tops are faster to take off, and they look less bulky and more smooth.
