Has anyone found a reliable source for custom coil springs for Trackicks, not including Calmini or OME? Someone in the US, preferably eastern US. Just got my replacement set of OME springs from ARB, got 'em in and got re-aligned. Now she's driving right again and rides great again, but for how long? The first set of OME "heavy" rate springs began to sag under the weight of my winch bumper, winch and skid plates after just 6 mos. Rocky Road refered me to ARB for warrenty service, Arb said the sagging was basiclly a result of RRO " lift spacers" and the springs were never designed to run with spacers. They did however pro rate me a replacement set, but said I should expect these to sag eventually as well due to the lift. ARB warrentys the OME springs for 2 years, but normally only without the use of lift spacers. RRO will not warrenty them. Crappy business practice IMO, since they "designed" their 2.5 " lift around them. I spoke with Steve at Boondox and he said he'd get back to me but I still haven't heard from him. SO, anyone got a line on a good coil spring outfit for custom springs?

The sound like a load of crap to me. I don't see what lift spacers have to do with the springs sagging. Or the fact that it is llifted. They are lifted springs. They should hold up. The only thing that I would think that would make them sag prematurely would be the amount of weight on them. But what do I know, I'm just a stupid Canadian! LOL

Adding the spring spacers will allow the coils to fully compress because the bump stops will be too short. That will cause the springs to sag.

I've heard that before Rhinoman, but mostly regarding the rear springs. Should I attempt to lengthen the front bumpstops an equal length of the spacers? And hey Armour, I can hardly tell the difference between Canadians and regular people!LOL

Something like that should do. You really need to measure the spring to determine its compressed length and then alter the bump stops to suit.

Thanks Rhinoman, I wonder why they don't suggest that when they sell us these kits? OK, looks like one more mod to do.

Which front OME springs are you using (part numbers)?
There are 4 different springs that "can" work in the front of those.
Rockmolester is running some front Grand Vitara OME springs, and he has plenty of lift. They will settle a little, but if you're running springs that are too light for the weight on the front end, then they will sag anyway, just like OE springs would.

Have you looked into using springs from a different vehicle? I've read that the ttb fords have a similar spring rate, however I heard that they are a different diameter, and I have no first-hand experience on how they would work.

I'm currently running the OME pn 953, which is a 540 lb spring rate . That is supposed to be their heavy spring. I asked ARB about 4 door springs, springs for the V6 models, and really couldn't really get a straight answer. I was also thinking the heavier GV V6 spring might work. Could I get a pn for the spring rockmolester is using, and maybe the spring rate if known? Thanks

Your #953's have a free height of 285mm and a Spring Rate of 540lb/". RockMolester uses a #962 which is the heavy duty front for a GV. Free height 320mm, Spring rate 540lb/". Another option is the #956 for the XL-7 which has a Free Height of 330mm and a Spring Rate of 500lb/". These will give a touch more lift. On my V6 Sport they gave 3". I needed more weight like a bar and winch as the camber wasn't the best even with the camber bolts.
