Title: annoying problem
Post by: kirknd4spd on February 24, 2007, 11:28:48 PM
my dad recently got another sidekick. im not sure what year it is, but it has a 1.6L 8 valve and 3 speed auto. he got the calmini 2" exhaust with header and cat. the only problem is that the header output and the cat dont line up. he called calmini, and they've sent him a new cat and a new header, and they still just dont line up. if we bolt them together, the cat gets crushed against the transmission oil pan. when i popped the hood and looked at the header, it aims toward the corner of the transmission oil pan, and it doesn't drop down low enough. i took it off, and put on the other calmini header, and its exactly the same. has anyone else had problems like this with calmini's exhaust on an 8 valve? i didnt have any problems on my kick, and we just dont know what to do with it

Did you finally get the problem with the Calmini header and Calmini exhaust fixed? I was thinking of doing the same to my Tracker until I read your post.
