Title: Rear tire cover,will it fit?

I have a 2001 g/v. I want to get a little more ground clearence without doing a lift. I have stock 235/60/16 and if I'm not mistaken I should be able to fit 225/70/16. My question is,will the rear spare tire hard cover fit over the slightly larger tire?          Thanks

P.S. I am under the impression that the 225/70/16s are a little higher and a little more narrow, please let me know if I'm wrong   t/y. :)

I don't think it will fit, you'll be going from a 27" to a 28.5" tire... hard enough to get it on the stock size esp. in cold weather

I would suggest getting a generic one that has an elastic drawstring at the bottom, much easier to get on & off
