Title: SOA Conversion
Post by: dbr on February 27, 2007, 10:37:49 PM
So the guy I bought my '88 from did the SOA conversion.  Manufactured a Z-bar himself.

What's the consensus of this as true "fix" for what the previous owner did:

loose the Z bar and get hysteer or cross over steering which ever way you want to say it.
It will get rid of the Z bar and correct all the bump steer and i think it turns smoother with cross over steering, expsially with a SPOA

I totally agree. The crossover steering is a drastic improvement. The Z bar is a failure waiting to happen.

Another vote for the Cross-over steering or hi-steering.  I just use the one side of the hi-steering kit without a problem.  My steering stabilizer has seen better days though...  ;D
